1. Install the impeller on the dummy shaft and place it on the static balance test bench that has been adjusted. There are two tracks on the test bench, on which the dummy shaft can roll freely.
2. Make a mark on the heavier side of the impeller. If the mass of the impeller is unbalanced, the heavier side will always turn down automatically. At the symmetrical position (that is, the lighter side) of the heavier place, add weights (use surface adhesive or use clamps to increase or decrease iron pieces) until the impeller can be stopped at any position.
3. Weigh the weight of the weight block. Instead of adding weight on the lighter side of the impeller, the balance of the impeller is achieved by reducing the weight on the heavier side. When reducing weight, milling with a milling machine or grinding with a grinding wheel (when the amount of removal is not large) can be used, but the depth of milling or grinding should not exceed 1/3 of the thickness of the impeller cover. After static balance of the impeller, the allowable deviation of static balance shall not exceed the product of the outer diameter of the impeller and 0.025g/mm. For example, for an impeller with a diameter of 200mm, the allowable deviation is 5g.
